Enjoy and relax while being pampered and ready to live a unique atmosphere.
The Villa of Cala Regina is a relaxing oasis, a sophisticated refuge from busy life. Every detail is studied to make you feel as very special people! Discretion, elegance, availability are the distinctive traits of the Villa at Cala Regina, the ideal place where you can feel at home in an oasis of absolute privacy.
This family house, full of memories and breathtaking views, lends itself to numerous settings. Well-being and quality life inhabit Villa di Cala Regina, a place close to the City and the Elmas airport, yet remote and far from the crowd.
The Architecture.
The architecture was heavily influenced by Frank Lloyd Wright’s work, with reinforced concrete and local rocks being used throughout the entire house. The property is located on a 50 meter cliff, with a path uniting the house with the underlying rock beach. The goal of the architect was to blend the house with the nature surrounding it, while the interior was inspired by the boat’s architectural module, simple but yet refined and all custom-built.
The big windows in the livingroom and the bedrooms flood the different spaces with the blue of sky and sea. Not far from the house is located a 1575 watchtower, sign of the long spanish ruling over the island.
Il Golfo degli Angeli.
Cala Regina is surrounded by beaches and activities for sports lovers, as well as typical restaurants and wellness facilities. Cagliari, a 30 minute drive from the Villa, is Sardinia’s main city, and offers a rich variety of cultural events inside it’s medieval townscapes.
Other activities include golfing, boat rental services (with or without skipper), fishing, surfing, windsurfing and kitesurfing, bike and motorbike rental services, snorkeling, climbing, hiking trails, yoga and holistic heath practices.
The Owners.
My name is Luisa, and after spending almost fifteen years abroad, I decided to make hospitality my life’s work. My first job as a painting restorer taught me much about colours, materials and the hard work that lies behind a piece of art: I used that same experience to refine the house’s design over the last decade. The house was built by my parents and is the place where I spent much of my childhood in, and my personal attachment and all my effort go into making this the most elegant and refined Villa of southern Sardinia.
Co-owners of the house are my son Tazio and my beloved cats Gaëlle and Caro.
